How Ezi Broadband Protects Your Billing and Payment Data

How Ezi Broadband Protects Your Billing and Payment Data

Your security is our top priority. Ezi Broadband uses advanced encryption, secure gateways, and strict privacy controls to keep your billing and payment information safe.

We never store or see your full credit card or bank details — all payments are handled through a secure, PCI-compliant payment gateway that meets Australian privacy standards.

How your data is protected

When you add or update payment details in your customer portal:

  1. Your information is encrypted directly in your browser.
  2. It's securely processed by our PCI-compliant payment gateway — Ezi Broadband never receives or stores your full payment details.
  3. The gateway converts your details into a token, which is a randomised code used for future debits.
  4. Ezi Broadband systems only see limited, masked information — for example, "Visa ending in 1234".

Who can access your payment data

  • Only our secure payment gateway can process full account data.
  • Ezi Broadband support staff can only see partial, masked details to help verify your payments.
  • Your information is never shared with third parties unless required by Australian law (for example, a bank or regulator investigation).

Compliance and standards

Our payment gateway complies with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), the global standard for payment processing security. Ezi Broadband complies with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which governs how personal data is collected, stored, and used.

These standards ensure your payment details and personal data are always protected.

In the rare event of a data breach

While highly unlikely, if a data incident ever occurs:

  1. We'll notify you immediately and explain what happened.
  2. We'll work with our payment provider to secure all affected information.
  3. We'll take all required steps under Australian privacy law to protect your data and prevent future issues.
